On this week's episode of America's Next Top Fashion Blogger, Nicole poses in the wind atop a parking garage.

I've been so excited to wear this skirt (previously worn here) without tights, and the weather in Austin has been phenomenal lately. Lots of bare legs around these parts (sorry folks in cold states)! As soon as I bought the purple heels for my Valentine's outfit, I dreamed up this look. It's one of my favorites that I've worn on the blog, I think.

I bought this coat back in 2012 and I think I've only worn it once (with a yellow sweater and boyfriend jeans). It's so bright and such a tough shape for me to style because it has no collar and the sleeves are so short. It's like a pretend coat! Turns out, the solution is to wear it as an early-spring coat, rather than a true winter coat. It's perfect for brunches before it gets warm outside, and out to drinks after the sun goes down.

I'm hoping to plan a few more outfits with the coat soon. How would you style it?

Also, for good measure, a few model-icious outtakes.

  1. Oh you are just the cutest! These photos are lovely and I'm still in love with that polka dot skirt. I'm pretttttty jealous of your amazing weather! Here I am posing with umbrellas :) Clearly I need to visit Austin.

  2. I would definitely use it as a spring coat! It's great for those times that you want to dress up a bit and your weather is between winter coat and no coat weather. I really love the way that sweater looks tucked into a skirt but I'm having such trouble finding a skirt that seems to "go" with the chunky sweater. What kind of material is that skirt?

  3. Super fun outfit! You look like you are having a blast! :) I have a similar skirt with a heart print that I just love to pieces. The coat is FABULOUS! I love love love a bright coat. I think since it's got a retro feel I would love to pair it with an updo, black dress, black heels and a ladylike vintage brooch. Just because I adore that sort of style. Though I think it's going to look great with just about everything! But I'm a fan of adding a vintage silk scarf or vintage brooch to any coat, especially in a contrasting color! :) -Alexandra

  4. I love that you can totally see your happiness in these photos! I have a post coming up this week that also deals with feeling like you are on ANTM. Isn't it awesome when you are just FEELING it?

  5. I love how vivid and crisp that skirt looks! I definitely think that's a great coat for spring! I could see you color blocking it with primary colors, as you do, throwing it over pretty dresses, and definitely wearing it with jeans. Since it doesn't have a collar, it might be fun to play with a scarf tied around the neck or something!

  6. Love all the colors! And that jacket looks soooo cute on you. I wish I had one. It's the perfect color!

  7. this skirt is perfect. your legs, go on for days. and love the coat

  8. Great photo shoot! Navy with white polka dots combined with fuschia is a combo I love. The coat is very chic! Enjoy the warm weather :)

  9. You are really upping your photo game and I like it!!! You look great and very happy

  10. You have such a beautiful smile! Lovely outfit :)

  11. That third picture of you is the most gorgeous thing ever. Frame it and keep it in your home forever. I really feel like you're finding your very own sense of style. I can't get over how "Nicole" all of your outfits have been looking lately. I love it.

  12. I'm amazed at how well the shoes go with that skirt! And I loooove them both. Great pictures too!
