sporty spice

Of all the Spice Girls, Sporty is the one that I've always related to the least. I'm just not a sporty girl. I mean, I throw on a pair of kicks with my skirt and call the outfit sporty, but lord knows I could not sport in a skirt this short!

I would have loved to run around the bases and pretend to swing a bat in this outfit, but there was a baseball game going on at the next field over, so Briley and I settled for the soccer field with the old men running around the track watching us. I swear, it is 100000x easier to have people watch you taking photos when you're not alone.

On another note, I'm really excited to wear this skirt a ton during the spring. Spring doesn't last very long in Texas, and this skirt is corduroy, so I'm worried it will be too warm to wear in the summer. It is a very swingy skirt though, so I might be able to get away with it--especially if I spin when I wear it, which I always do!

  1. Haha! It is SO much easier when you're not alone. You don't look as... unique, when you're not alone. I love the title of this post though. Love love love it.

  2. Cute!! I love swingy skirts like that! I'm the same -- throwing on sneakers means it's a "sporty" outfit!

  6. The headscarf is the cherry on top to this outfit! I can't wait to see more ways you wear skater skirts, I'm seriously in love with mine. Definitely gonna wear it with chucks now too!
Ps. I always wanted to be posh spice! Lol I had the same elongated bob as her in middle school!

  7. First, that's my favorite spot of St. Ed's! Mostly for the running trail, but also because anywhere you look, the view is BEAUTIFUL. Second, I can't believe you thrifted those sneakers!!! Third, you always look so cute in headbands! Such a fun look.

  9. I agree...it's WAY easier to have people watch you take pictures when someone else is taking them of you...lol. I hate taking my own pictures in a public place. I try to find the most secluded places I can. Usually, I go in the afternoon on weekdays, so I have good luck in not having people around. I like it better when Chris is with me to take the pictures...lol.

Baby Spice was always my favorite Spice Girl. I like her and Ginger the best now. Ginger was always so strong and confident and awesome.

  10. This is the main reason I always force someone (usually my brother) to take my photos. It would be way to awkward for me to use a tripod haha Sporty Spice was always my favorite! I did play like every sport though growing up, so that's probably why. I love this skirt and that you're wearing it with Converse shoes! And the bow adds a cute girly vibe to it - love it all!
