Welcome back to the work week, kittens. I don't know about you, but I really could have used a weekend from my weekend. I woke up this morning with itchy eyes and a runny nose--I basically look like the 'before' part of an allergy pill commercial. It's been on-and-off stormy around these parts for the last few days, so I think a bunch of gunk just got moved around, specifically in my face.

The wedding Dago and I went to was beautiful, as weddings should be! Dago was one of the best men, so I got to spend lots of time with the groom and his buds. The bride had the prettiest dress and I cried lots. I just love weddings and wish I could go to them like every weekend.

This outfit has nothing to do with weddings at all. I actually only came up with it at the last minute after changing my mind about another outfit I'd put together and decided I didn't like, and remembered Jen mentioning I should try polka dots paired with polka dots at some point in the challenge. I can guarantee you that I never would have come up with this outfit on my own, but I actually like it! It felt a little clownish to wear, but I like how it looks in these photos, which is probably more important.

What do you think--am I rocking the dots on dots? Is this a combo you've worn before? How was your weekend? I want to hear all about it!

  1. I think if I put this outfit on I would look like a complete goof, but you pull it off so well-not clownish at all! I love it! Especially that cute little head scarf. All of your pictures with this polka dot skirt make me want one so much!
I also need a weekend for my weekend. I also need to stop being so lazy and update my darn blog!

  9. I really like the dots on dots (lol at the "more important how it looks in photos. I feel that way too sometimes. Though usually I will like it in person and find things lacking in a photos, so the reverse...)

  10. I'm loving the dots on dots! And seriously, who doesn't cry at weddings? All of my friends have been getting married recently, so I am a SAP. And my two absolute BEST friends are marrying each other in June and I'm in the wedding and I will probably be a wreckkkkk lol

  14. the polka on polka is so visually interesting, it's like pattern mixing...but then kinda not! definitely a risk and i'm glad you've been able to incorporate new ideas into your challenge. I am having seasonal allergies I think for the first time in my life, I haven't been able to stop sneezing for months. hope you get to feeling better! the wedding sounds wonderful, I remember being younger and wondering why my mom would cry at happy things, but I am SO there now. glad y'all had fun:)

p.s. thank you for your always kind and thoughtful comments! I love reading them especially!!

  16. I know the weekend feeling. I always try to cram so much in because my working week just sucks.
The contrasting polk dots look good. I've never tried them like that before.
