2014 was filled with so many memorable moments, so I wanted to do a little review of a few of my favorites!

Favorite meal I ate: Brioche French Toast at Elizabeth St. Cafe

Favorite movie I saw: Into the Woods (hear my thoughts on the movie here)

Favorite trip I took: TIE between Fredricksburg with Dago for our anniversary and Amarillo to see Briley

Favorite concert I went to: Jenny Lewis at ACL

Favorite article of clothing I bought: navy polka dot skirt from J.Crew Factory

Favorite song I danced to: Shake it Off

Favorite change I made: starting a new job!

Favorite holiday I celebrated: Valentine's Day

Favorite girl power moment: Voting for Wendy Davis & Leticia Van de Putte

Favorite books I read: The Opposite of Loneliness by Marina Keegan and Wild by Cheryl Strayed


Favorite life accomplishment: Finding a therapist!

Favorite BFF bonding experience: Our girl gang photo shoot

Favorite shows I watched: Orphan Black, Brooklyn 99, Orange is the New Black, How to Get Away with Murder (And Serial, which I listened to)

Favorite OMG moment: Indiana telling me that both The Bloggess and Sophia Rossi are speaking at TxSC.

Favorite Austin experience: Jenn and Dean visiting and showing them around town.

  2. This is the third time in just as many days that I've seen someone mention The Opposite of Loneliness. It looks like I'm going to have to add it to my to-read list!

  3. it's seriously so good! i read it in a day and a half over the summer and i still think about some of the stories/essays on a regular basis.

  4. Sounds like you had an awesome year! I went to see Into The Woods a few days ago and I LOVED IT. I thought it was a bit long, but it was still a pretty great movie!

  5. the musical is my all-time favorite (i can sing every word), and i loved the casting, so i knew the movie was going to be my favorite. the play is actually significantly longer!

  8. I seriously need to make an effort to see more live music... not just that but to force myself to go to the Museum, read a new book etc.... I love all your memories from 2014. We seriously need to have brunch together soon. Maybe we should make a 2015 goal to hang out. Ha! Maybe you me and Becky. Hope you had a great New Year!
